It’s a near-infinite reel of entertainment, tailored to the viewer’s taste, creating a veritable buffet of visuals that\u2019s hard to resist. Even more than that, it\u2019s all accessible from the palm of your hand, with the swipe of your finger. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Considering all of that, it becomes less and less surprising that so many Filipinos spend that much amount of time on the app. Using TikTok becomes less like a pastime or hobby, and more like a bonding experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Filipinos find community on TikTok<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s hard to match a Filipino\u2019s unique sense of humor. While we do love our own fair share of international trends and memes, there\u2019s nothing quite like the locally-grown content that shakes up our very own chain of inside jokes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His rise in popularity isn\u2019t because he appealed to international audiences or brought global trends down to the local level, no.
